Meet Dr. Mark Scherping... Dear friend,When I meet people in town, they usually say, "Oh,
yeah, I know you, you're Dr. Mark. I've seen your ad." Well, let's
start with me, the guy in the picture.
When I was only twelve years old, something happened that changed my life forever. You see, I had a "swayed back," and my mom and dad, and my medical doctor was very concerned. The doctor told me that this condition could develop into scoliosis, but they offered no remedy. I remember not being allowed to play sports with the other kids. I was even teased by the other children because of how I looked. As a little kid, I felt like an outcast, and that hurt. I wanted to be like everyone else. Every two years until I was 12 years old the medical doctors took x-rays to see if it was getting worse, and it was. Finally, my mom and dad took me to their chiropractor. He did an exam and took x-rays. He found that the scoliosis and swayed back was due to a spinal misalignment. Then he did something that changed the course of my life. He "adjusted" my spine and showed me some exercises to further correct the sway in my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good. Through his care and the exercises, my scoliosis and swayed back began to improve. Chiropractic helped me so much that, at the age of twelve, I decided that one day I would become a chiropractor myself. Now for my son Talin, who is the boy in the photo. After his birth,
Talin experienced a 'blocked tear duct' in his left eye. On several
mornings, the discharge became so severe that he was unable to open
his eye. We literally had to pull on the eyelid to open the eye. After
a few months, we discovered that massaging his eye wasn't helping. Then
one day I adjusted his neck and back and, the next morning the eye was
clear. Talin hasn't had a problem since. No more "prying"
his left eye open in the morning. It's strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their scoliosis problem. Also they come to me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, just to name a few. Let me share with you my training, family beliefs and commitment to the practice members.Education: Experience: Family: Commitment Statement: |
